I won’t ignore the elephant in the room this month. On Saturday our government, in alliance with Israel, executed a devastating air attack on Iran, killing the Ayatollah along with most of his officials, and destabilizing the fragile balance in the Middle East. This is only the beginning, however. We will undoubtedly suffer more terrorist attacks. I imagine Israel will take a beating. Countless women and children will be recorded as collateral damage.
But the destabilization isn’t confined to the Middle East. Europe is now on red alert, worried that the war in Ukraine will spill over into new territory. Money markets across the globe are quaking as oil shipments have stopped navigating the strait of Hormuz. Already the price of gas in Europe has risen 40%. The same will probably happen here as well. It just occurred to me that this aggressive operation was planned well in advance. First grab Venezuelan oil, then attack Iran.
Pundits are speculating on Trump’s motives. Our president casts himself as the great liberator of the Persian populace, but has gone into hiding, neither addressing congress nor the American people. The majority of us know his reasons. He was willing to commit mass murder to avoid being exposed in the Epstein files. He’s also nervous about the midterm elections, and there is speculation that he will use this war as an excuse to halt them. We are headed for a bumpy ride, all because of one demented megalomaniac. We must remember, however, that we are complicit. Supposedly the majority put him in office to be the agent of destruction. (Unless Elon Musk messed with the voting machines and his victory was a fraud.)
March has always been a stormy month as we shift seasons. It is even stormier now, as the world order is thrown into chaos and we shift realities. I use the word “reality” to refer to the projected, manifested consensus reality. We have been operating under a set of faulty beliefs out of which our Collective Unconscious, through the process of “Strange Attraction,” manifests a mirror reflecting back to us the true State of our Union. This is what we get when our thinking is clouded, when our emotions are red hot, when we no longer care for one another and our duality is way out of balance. The good news is that our paradigm is about to be shattered.
In fact the process already began, at the Solar Eclipse on February 20th. We peeked behind the curtain of pedophilia and discovered a KBG agent whose mission was to lure the wealthy to his dens of iniquity, film them and send the evidence to Putin. That day, on his 66th birthday, Phillip got arrested for sharing trade secrets with Epstein. For years we have heard conspiracy theories about how the real world is run by a consortium of wealthy men, but didn’t believe them. Seems like they were right.
I have a friend in France who tells me that CEO’s are closing their doors and disappearing to avoid exposure and potential prison sentences. Men are being arrested and indicted throughout Europe while our Representatives protect the offenders and berate the victims. I’ve always wondered what that man hangs over their heads.
So let’s look at the Astrology. Several events are converging to blow our minds: a lunar eclipse, Mercury retrograde, Jupiter conjunct our natal Sun, Uranus square our natal Moon, Chiron conjunct Eris, and more.
The Blood Moon
Today, March 3rd, eclipse season makes its grand finale with a Blood Moon at 3:43 a.m. Pacific. The Full Moon will be eclipsed by a shadow of our Earth completely covering its surface,. Our shadow appears red as the image passes through our atmosphere. We have had had three Blood Moons in the past year, each injecting energy into our evolving consciousness. This one is the last for the next three years.
Eclipses are all about shadow. They provide shocks to the collective system that jolt us into recognition, shift us onto another timeline, or path, wake us up with interruptions in the status quo. Eclipses reveal our shadow side and alert us to the parts of us that we have suppressed. These errant parts of our psyche need to be integrated. We disempower ourselves when we deny the truth of our wholeness.
Today’s total lunar eclipse is the last in a three-phase process. Think of the way planets appear to move. They move direct over a degree of the zodiac, revisit that point during their retrograde period, and then hit that degree again as they move on. First pass, we are alerted. Second pass we are asked to reconsider and reflect deeper. Third pass we wake up to a new awareness and understand what the process was about. This Blood Moon will help launch us onto a new timeline.
The Full Moon happens at 12+ degrees of Pisces. I interpret that as a signal to focus on our spirituality. So what is our spirituality? It’s our Oneness, and the evolving awareness of this truth.
Jesus is the avatar of the Aquarian Age. He came a full cycle ahead of time to show us that love is answer. He preached to us about how to live together, honor one another, help each other out. Those are some of the values of the new era and it is up to us to choose to embody them.
How we treat one another is a reflection of our Spirituality; how we demonstrate love, perform acts of kindness or generosity, consider the needs of others and honor them as equal souls in a Divine Experiment. Seems like a quantum leap from our present, but awakenings transport us into new perception and reality shifts in an instant.
At the Blood Moon the Sun will be exactly conjunct Pallas Athena, the goddess of wisdom, while the Moon is conjunct our natal Varuna, the dwarf planet that carries the frequency of sovereignty. The Founders of our nation held sovereignty as the Holy Grail of values. They wanted the freedom to live as masters of their fate, freedom of speech, worship, ideas and beliefs.
Obviously sovereignty is a hot issue at the moment. Is the president the boss of me? Am I relinquishing my power to someone else? How much do I value my own sovereignty? As part of the eclipse energy, these are good questions to reflect on.
Mercury Retrograde/Jupiter Stations Direct
Mercury stood still, from our perspective, at 22+ Pisces on February 26th and began revisiting the early degrees of this sign. On March 7th, the messenger planet will conjunct the Sun at 16+ Pisces and begin a whole new cycle. This past cycle has been a journey from the sign of Scorpio, the depths of our consciousness, to Pisces, the end of the Zodiac. All Mercury retrogrades will take place in water signs this year.
Before Mercury paused in Pisces to double check for any overlooked issues, it traveled through the last half of Scorpio, on through Sagittarius, Capricorn and Aquarius. That’s a lot of territory to cover. Pisces is where all consciousness converges in a field of possibility. It’s the Collective Unconscious in which we unknowingly swim. All of us, equal in value.
Retrogrades are periods of reflection on the depths of our inner life. This is where we ask ourselves the pertinent questions. Why am I here? What is my purpose? Am I happy with my life? What am I missing? What do I really want?
This particular Mercury retrograde is getting a giant boost from Jupiter which turns direct in Cancer on March 10th, forming a trine, or harmonious relationship, with Mercury. Jupiter makes everything bigger, be it ideas, realizations, feelings of goodwill and faith. He symbolizes the god of the gods in Greek Mythology. Jupiter is a powerhouse of energy. The planet actually puts out more energy than the Sun.
Six days after Jupiter turns direct, 3-I Atlas will make its closest pass near Jupiter. We don’t really know what 3-I Atlas is about, but the name does suggest an opening of our third eye. Perhaps it has to do with perception. At first we didn’t even know if it was a comet, which it is. This nearby pass to Jupiter, occurs on March 16th. On March 17th, Mercury will conjunct the North Node at 8 Pisces. Maybe he’ll deliver some messages about this mysterious object. Maybe you’ll have some realization that day. I would love to hear of your experiences. That’s how we form our understanding of celestial objects – through the synchronicity of events, earthly and cosmic.
Mercury on the North Node prompts us to think about our future, consider the direction we’re headed, make necessary course corrections. But it’s more, especially in Pisces, the sign of imagination and the dreamer. It’s about our vision of a more enlightened future. Even though we’re in the dissolution phase of a paradigm, we can begin imagining something much better – a world of Spiritual Adults. Patriarchy was our adolescent phase.
The Spring Equinox
On March 18th another lunar cycle begins with Sun and Moon at 28+ Pisces. Two days later the Sun enters Aries and Spring arrives. Exactly on the Equinox Mercury turns direct, ready to burst forth with new ideas. Equinoxes are about equilibrium, the perfect balance point between light and dark, but it refers to all polarities. It’s about bringing ourselves back into balance in terms of masculine/Doing energy and feminine/Being energy. It’s a good time to tune into our own biorhythms and get in step with the Earth.
Two days after the Equinox, the Sun will conjunct Neptune in Aries initiating a new Sun/Neptune cycle. Neptune will be energized to dissolve our illusions about religion. On the same day, Mercury will once again be conjunct the North Node projecting thoughts and images from the future..
Chiron conjunct Eris
We know that Chiron brings up our wounds so we may heal them or learn to live with them. We know that Eris, in its patriarchal manifestation, is about discord. Eris, the sister of Mars, one of the fierce feminine energies, has a mission to defend justice and equality. She brings about change through chaos, in which structures, foundations, beliefs, our certainties, crumble to make room for new ideas, more justice, and universal equality. It’s a harsh lesson, but chaos is the realm of infinite possibilities. It’s a potent state.
We might reflect on the chaos in our own lives. I have whittled mine down considerably to make space for change. I’m realizing how much the Internet delivers daily to my inbox, overwhelming me with information and energies that disrupt my life. Simplifying has been helpful.
Conclusions
There’s a lot going on this month. I gave you the dates in case you want to mark your calendar. How do we navigate through these turbulent times? Stay grounded, stay centered, stay alert, keep our hearts open, along with our minds and be patient. We are gestating right now, integrating an upgrade in energy frequency. April will bring another boost when Uranus passes through the 29th degree of Taurus and enters Gemini for a seven-year trek. Right now Uranus and the Sun are feeding each other energy in preparation for lift off. Because it has only recently turned direct, it is moving slowly, squaring our natal Moon at 27+ Aquarius. Uranus is working beneath our awareness, preparing the way for an accelerated awakening. We’ll look at all of that next month.
I would also pay close attention to the transiting South Node which has just made a conjunction with our natal dwarf planet Orcus, the one who holds us to our oaths and brings up shadow material for transmutation. Pluto is approaching our natal South Node as well. All our “sins” are becoming visible. Somehow we must collectively release the heavy karma of violence, genocide, civil war, unrestricted capitalism and the corruption that is eating away at our core. The bill will come due when Pluto makes its exact conjunction three times in 2027.
One further note, we need to connect with others. On Sunday I got a surprise text from an old friend who was passing through town. We hadn’t seen each other in probably 20 years or more, and yet when she arrived, it was as if we had never been separated. Time collapsed into the love we felt for one another. It was like a booster shot to keep me going. We can energize each other with our love.
Love – it’s always the answer.
