Some of you have been saying that you understand the need to awaken and step into your true self, your Soul-self, but how do you do it? I was going to start this series after I completed “What’s Going On?” It feels right, however, to address the “how” of spiritual awakening right now, because we need to start preparing the future.
This is a huge topic. There are so many dimensions in which transformation is occurring. What we see manifested in our physical reality is symptomatic of the shifts in vibrational frequency taking place in unseen realms. For instance, our precious Mother Earth has been vibrating at a stable magnetic frequency for quite a while. Here’s what Patriots for Truth have to say about a startling change happening to Mother Earth.
“For many years this resonance frequency has hovered at a steady 7.83 Hz with only slight variations. In June 2014 that apparently changed. Monitors at the Russian Space Observing System showed a sudden spike in activity to around 8.5 Hz. Since then, they have recorded days where the Schumann accelerated as fast as 16.5 Hz. At first they thought their equipment was malfunctioning, but later learned the data was accurate. Everyone was asking, what’s causing this intermittent spiking activity?”
My immediate reaction was truth-recognition that thrilled my body, resonated in my gut and excited my mind to leap into the future with visions of world-wide enlightenment. Could it be that Mother Earth is also awakening? Could it be that if we awaken along with her and allow ourselves to resonate with her frequency, she can carry us in her photon flow into the future our hearts long for, our dreams reveal in glimpses, our minds seek out? Could Mother Earth reunite with Father Spirit? Could we be among the ones to help make that happen, to actually manifest Heaven on Earth? I can’t imagine not wanting to be part of that! This spiritual destiny seems impossible, right? But what if it’s true? What if that has been the purpose of humanity all along? What if WE are among the ones to have that profound privilege!?
I can hear echoes of the skeptics, but skepticism is a very low vibration. It takes almost no energy to deny something wondrous. I know in my heart of hearts that this is the potential of humanity, one worth trying for. What’s that saying – something like “there’s no shame in failure, only in not trying.” I’m trying. I’m one of hundreds of thousands, if not millions by now, who are discovering the truth of who we really are. Once that awakening happens, there is only one course of action – to find a way to be of service to this spiritual cause – to become an Evolutionary.
We each have our own vision of a better future. And there are as many ways to get there as there are pilgrims. I can’t tell you the only way to do it, but I can tell you how I did it, and what I learned along the way. I can share the wisdom of my peer Evolutionaries, most of whom I have never met in person, but have watched on YouTube videos, read their books or taken their classes in virtual reality. The Internet is a precious gift. We must guard it carefully. The ability to connect with others around the world has set the stage for world-wide enlightenment. It is the communication network that will allow Unity Consciousness.
So what does “Practicing the Future” mean? It means taking full responsibility for creating it. It means establishing an intention and developing a commitment to evolve. It means being dedicated to growth and change because the future doesn’t just happen to us. We create it. We’re creating it right now. The majority don’t like what we see. So we need to change it. It’s that simple, but obviously it has been difficult, because we haven’t done it. The good news is that the Universe is behind us now. It is rooting for us. All the planets have lined up to lend a hand. The Earth can feel our readiness so she is ramping up her frequency. She is supporting our lifting out of our current somnambulance into a state of fuller awareness, a state of empowerment, in which we have the wisdom and vision to transform the world. In this new state we will have access to solutions undreamed of in our current development.
So how do we do it? We develop a spiritual practice. We practice becoming more conscious, more aware, more awake. We wake up! And we do this by accessing more of ourselves. We shift our focus to our interior world. We deal with what is in there right now, right this minute. We feel; we face the truth that wants to be known. We dig down through a lifetime of debris – repressed emotions, conditioned beliefs, irrational conclusions that operate on an unconscious level and disempower us. We roll up our sleeves and clean out the cellar. We clear the path to inner wisdom, inner strength, inner truth and beauty. We integrate all the separated parts of ourselves into a whole. We practice the future of humanity by mirroring it in ourselves. This is a collective effort, but it can only be done by each of us, one by one, turning on the light. Gradually the illumination will light the world!
What we will explore in this series is spiritual practice. There are basically three skills to develop: meditation, body work and processing. Within each of these categories there are a multitude of tools. We will explore them together and hopefully each of you will find the practice that suits you best. The prerequisite is Intention. We’ll talk about developing intention through discovering our own part in this great drama. We’ll look at the various strengths and virtues we can enlist to sustain our practice.
The first step is embodiment. I mentioned in my last post that we are not physical beings seeking enlightenment. We are spiritual beings seeking embodiment. We need to get fully invested in our bodies. Why is that important? Because, the point of power is Now. The place of power is the Body. It is through the body that we access our authentic selves, our souls, the spark of the Divine that we truly are.
We start with the breath. For the most part we are a nation of panters. We breathe in the upper part of our chests. Most of our body goes into hibernation all day. Air is enlivening. It is nourishing. It is prana – the very energy of the universe. If we breathe deeply and consciously, we awaken our body. It all starts here.
Do this right now. Focus on your breath. Take in a slow, deep breath. Be aware of it filling your whole body. Feel it moving all the way into your belly. Feel your belly expand and contract as you let the air out. Now on the inhale imagine the air is alive. See it as energy. See it twinkling with life. As it reaches your belly watch it flow down your through your legs and let it flow into the Earth. As you exhale, release all that energy into the Earth and on your next inhale, breathe in the solid energy of Mother Earth. Take that energy up through your body until it reaches your heart chakra in the center of your chest. Let it spill down your arms. Then exhale upwards out through the top of your head. Reverse the process: breathe in cosmic energy through the top of your head. Let it mingle with the Earth energy in your heart chakra, then exhale back down into the Earth. Do this three times. You will have united the energies of Matter and Spirit in your heart. Notice how alive you feel.
Do this several times a day, sitting at your desk, or stuck in traffic, waiting in line or watching TV. The more you do it, the more your body will wake up and begin to offer up its wisdom. At this point you might be interested in the work of Dr. Sue Morter.
